Dr Leanne Cheung is an experienced general eye surgeon with a sub-specialty interest in oculoplastics. She completed her medical training at the University of New South Wales and continued her ophthalmology training at the Prince of Wales Hospital, culminating with an Oculoplastics Fellowship in her final year.
Her areas of focus are in cataract surgery, tear duct surgery and eyelid reconstructive surgery (such as ptosis, blepharoplasty, removal of skin cancers, and ectropion and entropion repairs).
Not only does she pride herself on comprehensive communication with patients and eyecare, she also focuses on giving back to the community and her profession. This involves providing and delivering eye care to remote communities and developing countries through her role as a Visiting Specialist at Bourke Hospital as part of the Outback Eye Service, and as a volunteer surgeon with the Myanmar (Burma) Eye Care Program.
