Meet OUR EXECUTIVE team

Sheila Lam

Co-Chairperson

MClinOptom/BSc

Graduated from UNSW School of Optometry and Vision Science in 2019. She is currently practicing in an independent optometry practice in Sydney, NSW. She has previously worked in both independent and corporate clinics. Sheila has a keen interest in myopia control, specialty contact lenses and management of ocular disease.

Yeghia Gharibian

Co-Chairperson

MClinOptom / BSc

Graduated from UNSW School of Optometry and Vision Science in 2020. He is interested in all facets of optometry including ocular disease and the role of the optometrist within the health system. Yeghia’s interests drove him to complete a post-graduate certificate in Public Health and Leadership in Eye Care with the Australian College of Optometrists in 2021.

Celine Zhang

Co-Secretary

Graduated from the UNSW School of Optometry and Vision Science in 2017. She is an optometrist in independent practice in Sydney with a keen interest in behavioural vision care, neuro-optometric care, vision therapy and myopia control. She is also involved in the executive committee of Eyes4Everest.

Thalia Lim

Graduated from UNSW School of Optometry in 2019. She is currently practising as an optometrist director in a regional, corporate setting.

Benjamin Kwan

Graduated from UNSW school of optometry and Vision Science in 2013. He is currently practicing as a locum optometrist Australia wide. He has special interest in speciality contact lenses and myopia control.

Graduated from UNSW School of Optometry and Vision Science in 2019. She is currently practicing in a independent optometry practice in Sydney, NSW.

Yuting Jin

Co- Education Officer

Graduated from UNSW School of Optometry and Vision Science in 2022. She is currently practising in an independent optometry practice in regional NSW. She has an interest in ocular disease and therapeutics, co-management and rural eyecare.

Lili Chen

Advocacy Officer

MClinOptom / BSci

Graduated from UNSW School of Optometry and Vision Science in 2018. Lili has worked in regional, corporate, and domiciliary optometry settings. She currently holds an eye health project officer role at a not-for-profit organisation, and practices as a locum in various practices across Sydney. She has strong interests in shaping and delivering meaningful eye health and health outcomes.
